Youth Matters

Asalam Alaykum Wa Rahamatulahi Wa Baraktuhu!

On behalf of the rest of the authors, we are super excited to introduce Youth Matters! InshaAllah, this is a modest effort of a group young Muslims who feel, well, that the youth really do matter! Although the words are a play on the title, we felt that blogging would be an excellent way to channel the matters, issues and concerns that we face on a regular basis.

The inspiration came one late random evening/early morning at either iHop or Dennys. (There seems to be a difference of opinion between two of the authors ). Realizing there was a tendency for inspirational ideas to occur at these times and locations, the young adults decided to act upon this particular idea with conviction.

In all seriousness though, we genuinely feel that the youth today face challenges that do not discriminate on a basis of gender, religion, or ethnicity. In a sense, we face them as a generation. Our aim is to focus and provide effective solutions, bi’idhnillahi-ta’la!

Although we come from different backgrounds and have diverse opinions, we share the common intention of nourishing the soul and obeying Allah (swt). We hope to attain nearness to Allah (swt) and pass the Final test, thereby achieving true contentment and peace by entering Jannah (Paradise).

We are definitely open for ideas, so please contribute on what you would like to see! We appreciate your comments, and hope you’ll periodically stop by to check for updates and participate in our discussions.

We realize these problems will not be solved overnight, however if we focus on the signal rather than getting lost in the noise, we can definitely make a positive difference!
